Boilermakers Ready To Extend Streak


WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue women’s tennis is looking to extend its win streak with back-to-back home matches against Cincinnati and Ball State.

The Boilermakers recorded their first wins of the season with a successful doubleheader against Memphis and Chicago State, winning 4-3 and 4-0 respectively.

Live states and video will be available for all home matches. Admission is free.

BOILER NOTES

  • Purdue leads Cincinnati 3-0 all time with wins in 2011, 2018 and 2022.
  • All three wins over Cincinnati have been at home.
  • Purdue leads Ball State 1-0 all time with a home win in 2016.
  • The Boilermakers and Cincinnati met at the UC/Pam Whitehead Invitational in the fall.
  • Purdue recorded five singles wins over the Bearcats at that invitational.
  • Four Boilermakers are undefeated in singles this season.
  • Senior Csilla Fodor needs 14 more singles wins to break into the program top-15.
  • Freshman Kennedy Gibbs and sophomore Carmen Gallardo Guevara have yet to drop a set in singles.
  • Redshirt senior Liz Norman and sophomore Tara Katarina Milic made a splash in their doubles debut with a win over Memphis.
  • Sophomore Juana Larranaga and Gibbs also won their debut doubles match.
