Rebels in the Rankings

A pair of Rebels enter the spring season holding ITA singles rankings, as John Hallquist Lithen and Nikola Slavic both cracked the ITA’s Top 100 at the conclusion of the fall season. Lithen leads the way for the Rebels, with a singles record of 7-3 including three ranked victories propelling him up into the No. 82. Slavic, a defending 2022 ITA All-American, follows closely behind Lithen, slotting in at No. 99 in the country after going 4-4 in singles play for the fall season.

Junk and Lithen – A Dangerous Duo

Leading the charge on the doubles courts for the Rebels this fall was the duo of John Hallquist Lithen and Simon Junk, who punched their ticket into the ITA National Fall Championships after finishing as ITA Southern Regional Runners-Up in doubles. Lithen and Junk compiled a total of four victories side-by-side for the fall season, helping to push Junk up to 54 career doubles wins in his time at Ole Miss, ranking him 19th in program history.

Bringing in the New Year

The Rebels’ season-opening doubleheader marks the first set of 23 total dual matches for the team’s spring slate, as well as the first of three doubleheaders the Rebels will be hosting in Oxford. Ole Miss’ SEC slate will consist of 12 matchups, beginning with a test at home against in-state rival Mississippi State on Mar. 4.
