Bilchev and Hrastar Fall in NCAA Quarterfinals – Women's Tennis — Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Ava Hrastar and Kylie Bilchev’s NCAA Tournament run ended on Thursday as the Yellow Jackets fell in the quarterfinals at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex. By virtue of reaching the NCAA championship quarterfinals, the doubles team earned ITA All-American status.

Facing No. 42 Janice Tjen and Savannah Broadus of Pepperdine, the Waves opened with a 3-0 lead in the first set against the Jackets. Tech got on the board and stood at 4-1, but dropped the set, 6-1.

The teams were on serve in the early going of the second set, knotted at 1-1, before the Waves earned a break to go up 2-1. Pepperdine continued to push its lead and sealed the victory in the second set, 6-1.
