Tennessee Named No. 7 Seed in NCAA Tournament, Hosting ETSU in First Round


KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee men’s tennis team is the No. 7 overall seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament and is set to host the first and second rounds, running May 3-4 at Barksdale Stadium.

The placement marks Tennessee’s fourth consecutive season as a top-eight seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The Vols are set to face ETSU (13-9) in their Round of 64 match Friday, May 3, at 1 p.m. ET. The Bucs notched a perfect 7-0 conference record this season and were crowned 2024 SoCon Tournament Champions.

UT enters the NCAA Tournament with the second-most wins among SEC teams this dual season, possessing a 22-6 overall record.

North Carolina (14-9) and Memphis (18-6) also travel to Knoxville for the NCAA Regional and will face off Friday at 10 a.m. ET. The winner of match 1 will face the winner of match 2 Saturday at 4 p.m. ET in the NCAA Round of 32.

HOSTING ON ROCKY TOP

This marks Tennessee’s 15th time hosting the NCAA’s First and Second Rounds. It will do so for the fifth time in as many NCAA Tournaments.

ANOTHER YEAR IN THE 20-DUB CLUB

The sixth-ranked Vols have surpassed the 20-win mark in each of the past six full seasons. The Vols were 14-2 when the 2020 dual season was shut down due to COVID-19 and reached the 20-win mark in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023 and now 2024.

Tickets for the NCAA Regional are available for $5 to the general public here. Admission is free for students. Fans are encouraged to park in the Lake Avenue Garage. Gates will open one hour before first serve.
