Terps Sweep Georgetown in College Park, 7-0

COLLEGE PARK, MD – The Maryland tennis team defeated the Georgetown Hoyas 7-0 Tuesday morning for its first win at home and first win of the 2023 season. The Terps earned the doubles point and won all six of the singles matches.

“The team did a good job with quick starts and setting the tone early in matches,” said head coach Katie Dougherty. “Great fight from Georgetown, they really make us work and finish in a number of 2nd sets. We competed well today and are in a good place heading into a couple practice days and then a tall task with VCU and Coppin on Sunday.”
