Tennis Opens League Play At Boston College


Syracuse tennis (6-0) opens conference play this weekend as the team heads on the road for a 5:00 pm match on Saturday against Boston College (7-1) in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

‘Cuse is 14-24-1 all-time against the Eagles with the Orange winning the last three meetings.

Syracuse continued its winning ways on Monday, Feb. 13 with a sweep of Buffalo. All six players won their singles matches. The duos of Zeynep Erman/Shiori Ito, Miyuka Kimoto/Polina Kozyreva and Ines Fonte/Victoriya Kanapatskaya were all victorious in doubles play. This season marks the programs’ best start in the last three years.

After their battle with BC, Syracuse returns to Drumlins Country Club for a five-match home stand starting with Florida State on Feb. 24. The Orange then face the likes of Miami, Virginia, Coppin State and Virginia Tech.
