NU Welcomes Creighton, Travels to Iowa


The No. 63 Nebraska women’s tennis team (11-3, 1-1 Big Ten) welcomes Creighton on Wednesday at 4 p.m. before traveling to No. 54 Iowa for a matchup on Saturday at noon. Both matches are in central time and streaming/stats information will be on huskers.com. Updates will also be posted on Twitter at HuskerWTennis.

Scouting Creighton (12-5, 3-2 Big East)

• Creighton finished the 2021-2022 season with an overall record of 12-8, including a 1-2 conference record.

• This is Tom Lilly’s 26th season as the head coach of the Bluejays. 

• Creighton has a balanced roster of two freshmen, three sophomores, three juniors, two seniors and one graduate student.

Series History against Creighton

• Nebraska has an all-time record of 20-0 against the Bluejays.

• The last time the teams met on the court was in 2022, and the Huskers swept the match 7-0. 

Scouting Iowa (6-6, 1-1 Big Ten)

• Iowa earned a 7-17 overall record in the 2021-2022 season, including a 2-9 conference record.

• This is Head Coach Sasha Schmid’s seventh season with the Hawkeyes. 

• Iowa has two freshmen, two sophomores, one junior and two fifth-year seniors.

Series History against Iowa

• Nebraska and Iowa have an overall record of 6-6. 

• The last time Nebraska matched up against Iowa was in 2022 with Nebraska winning 4-0.
