SEATTLE – The Husky men’s tennis team mixes business with pleasure this week, as the Dawgs spend spring break in Hawaii, playing their first match in eleven days against the Rainbow Wahine this Tuesday, March 21, at the UH Tennis Complex.

Tuesday’s 4 p.m. Pacific time match is the final nonconference match for the 52nd-ranked Huskies (8-4) before they play eight-straight Pac-12 matches to the end of the regular season.

New ITA team and individual rankings will come out on Tuesday, prior to the match, but as it stands, Cesar Bouchelaghem remains 85th in singles while Bouchelaghem and Dzianis Zharyn are 44th in doubles play.

Hawaii is 6-4 on the season and 0-1 in Big West play with a 4-3 loss to Nevada. UH and UW have one common opponent, UNLV, with UW sweeping and Hawaii winning, 4-3. The Wahine are led by 56th-ranked Andre Ilagan, an NCAA singles participant last year and the Big West Player of the Year.

After their island adventure, the Huskies will be back home this weekend to open Pac-12 play this Sunday, Mar. 26, against Utah.
