SALT LAKE CITY – The ITA announced its regional rankings with Utah coming in at No. 1 in the Mountain Region and several individuals placing in the Top 20.
Utah placed five individuals in the Top 20 in the mountain region, the most individuals on the list from the same school. Utah’s Kaila Barksdale was ranked the highest for the Utes at No. 6. Senior Madison Tattini came in at No. 11 while Marcela Lopez found a spot at No. 13. Anastasia Goncharova was No. 15 and to round it out for the Utes Katya Townsend was No. 16.
Utah had two doubles teams ranked in the Top 10. Goncharova and Tattini ended the season ranked at No. 2 after spotting an 8-7 mark all at the No. 1 spot in the line up. Barksdale and Lopez were ranked No. 10 in the final season rankings with their 12-5 record at the No. 3 spot in the line up.
Utah finished this season with a 13-11 overall record and the most Pac-12 wins since 2015. Utah went 6-1 against mountain region schools this year with wins over Colorado, Denver, Idaho State, Montana and Utah Tech (twice).
