CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Wake Forest’s Dhakshineswar Suresh and Florida State’s doubles team of Youcef Rihane and Alex Bulte both were victorious in the quarterfinals on Friday, November 22, to advance to the semifinals of the 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Individual Singles and Doubles Championships at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas.
The semifinals of both the singles and doubles championships are slated for Saturday, November 23, and the championship matches are set for Sunday, November 24.
This is the first year of a two-year plan for the singles and doubles championships to be conducted in the fall, with the team championships continuing to be held in the spring.
In the quarterfinals, Suresh took on Corey Craig of Florida State in an all-ACC matchup. The junior from Chennai, India, defeated the Seminoles’ Craig in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 to move on to the semifinals. Suresh will take on Ozan Baris of Michigan State in the semifinals.
In the doubles championship, it would again be ACC versus ACC and Florida State versus Wake Forest as the Seminoles’ Rihane and Alex Bulte took on the No. 4 seed Demon Deacons’ Luciano Tacchi and Luca Pow.
Florida State’s tandem of Rihane and Bulte fell behind early, dropping the first set 5-7, but battled back to take the second set 6-4 and the third set 10-7 to defeat Tacchi and Pow. The FSU pair will face off with Gavin Young and Benjamin Kittay of Michigan in the semifinals on Saturday.
Six ACC student-athletes earned ITA All-American status in either singles or doubles at the 2024-25 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships. The complete list of All-American student-athletes will be announced at the conclusion of the 2024-25 season when all criteria have been exhausted.

- Advancing to the Round of 16 at the NCAA Singles Championships (November)
- Finishing in the Top 20 of the Final ITA Singles Rankings (May)
