CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The ACC Conference announced their All-ACC teams Friday morning, and five Tar Heels received postseason honors for their performances on the court in 2023.
Fiona Crawley was named the ACC Player of the Year. She is the tenth Tar Heel to ever win the award.
In singles awards, junior Fiona Crawley and freshman Reese Brantmeier were named to the First-Team, Sophomore Carson Tanguilig was named to the Second-Team and Anika Yarlagadda was named to the Third-Team.
Crawley was named All-ACC for the third time in her career. This is the first time in Crawley’s decorated career that she is a member of the ACC First-Team. Brantmeier, who recorded a 22-4 record as a freshman, continues to accrue accolades after a dominant first season. She ended the season as the No. 9 singles player in the country while boasting an 11-1 ACC record to garner First-Team honors. Tanguilig tallied her second All-ACC label in her North Carolina career while Anika Yarlagadda captured her first All-ACC honor.
In doubles awards, North Carolina represented two of the three All-ACC First Team tandems. The NCAA Doubles Championship winning duo of Crawley and Tanguilig and the National Runners-Up pair of Reese Brantmeier and Elizabeth Scotty were all named First-Team All-ACC.
