Women’s Tennis Readies for Boston College, Syracuse – Women's Tennis — Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech women’s tennis continues this five-match homestand this weekend, welcoming Boston College and Syracuse to the Ken Byers Tennis Complex. Tech plays host to BC on Friday at 4 p.m. before hosting a Sunday matinee against Syracuse at noon.

SCOUTING TECH – The Yellow Jackets look to get back to winning ways this weekend after facing three top-10 opponents in the last four matches. Most recently, Tech dropped a pair of close matches to No. 1 North Carolina and No. 9 Duke at home. The Jackets took the Blue Devils to the wire, dropping a heartbreaking 4-3 matches after splitting the six singles matches. Carol Lee and Kylie Bilchev continue to lead the Jackets from the top two singles positions, while Bilchev and Alejandra Cruz went undefeated in doubles action over the weekend.

SCOUTING BOSTON COLLEGE – The Eagles come into Friday’s match having dropped four of the past five matches, most recently falling to Virginia, 6-1. BC carries a 1-4 ACC record into the weekend with its lone victory coming in a 4-3 decision against Virginia Tech. Maria Aguiar leads the Eagles in the latest individual ITA rankings, coming in at No. 72. Georgia Tech leads the all-time series against BC, 17-2, and has won nine straight.

SCOUTING SYRACUSE – The Orange have won their last two outings, collecting wins over Coppin State and Virginia Tech. Syracuse boasts a 4-1 league record on the season, but has only played one ACC road match, picking up a 4-3 win at Boston College to open the conference slate. Miyuka Kimoto leads Syracuse with a 4-2 record from the No. 1 singles position in dual matches, while Zeynep Erman is undefeated at No. 2 at 5-0 and is the lone ranked singles player, coming in at No. 84.
