Women’s Tennis Finishes First Day of Michigan Spring Invitational


ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Ole Miss women’s tennis began their spring season competeing at the Michigan State Invitational on Friday. The Rebels took on No. 17 Ohio State in doubles and No. 20 Michigan in singles.
 
Ole Miss started the day playing three doubles matches. The Rebels dropped the first two matches but came away with the final victory. Ludmila Kareisova and Reka Zadori defeated Ohio State’s Maddie Atway and Dani Schoenly, 6-2.
 
In singles action, the Rebels struggles against No. 20 Michigan and their five ranked opponents. The Rebels battled but fell short in singles. No. 73 Kareisova fought hard for three sets against No. 81 Kari Miller. She fell in the first set, 6-0, then took the second set, 6-3. Unfortunately, Kareisova lost the final set, 6-2.
