TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Men’s Tennis welcomes Casper Christensen to the Wildcat family as he will join the stacked squad in January 2023. The 6’3″ Norwegian native transferred from University of Miami where he finished 9-4 overall in singles play.
“I’m really excited to welcome Casper to our Wildcat family! He is a former Norwegian National Champion with a great deal of tennis experience. He loves the game, has a great work ethic, and will add a lot to our locker room,” head coach Clancy Shields said.
Christensen, hailing from Oslo, has a current UTR of 12.56 and a career-high ranking of 235 in the ITF Juniors.
“I’m looking forward to getting on the court and developing his game. There are a lot of tools in his tool bag and we are excited to extract the most out of him throughout his time here,” said Shields.
He continued, “Casper puts the finishing touches on our squad for the year and I know he will play an important role in the goals we have ahead for this team. Welcome to Tucson Casper!”
