Vols Picked Second in SEC Preseason Coaches Poll


BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference announced the men’s tennis coaches preseason poll Wednesday with Tennessee being picked to finish second in the league.
 
The preseason poll is voted on by the men’s tennis head coach at each institution and is based on a 13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 vote.
 
The Vols begin the 2023 campaign ranked sixth nationally by the ITA and return seven members from its 2022 NCAA semifinal squad. Tennessee is off to a 2-0 start this season, picking up two wins against Charlotte and Texas Tech.
 
Tennessee’s next competition comes Saturday, Jan. 14 at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. ET against the Golden Eagles of Tennessee Tech.
