CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 12 Virginia women’s tennis team (13-4, 6-2 ACC) hosts a pair of conference opponents this weekend, starting with No. 20 Georgia Tech (10-6, 4-4 ACC) on Friday, March 31 at 4 p.m. The Cavaliers close the weekend playing No. 30 Clemson (14-7, 2-6 ACC) on Sunday, April 2 at 12 p.m.

- Both matches are scheduled to be played outdoors at the Virginia Tennis Facility at the Boar’s Head Resort. Please check UVAWomensTennis social media accounts for any venue changes

NOTING THE CAVALIERS
- Virginia is No. 12 in this week’s ITA team rankings and has won seven of its last eight matches
- Elaine Chervinsky has won six of her last seven singles matches, including both matches last week on the Florida road trip, improving to 6-2 in conference matches this spring
- Hibah Shaikh leads the team with 11 singles victories in dual matches
- Sara Ziodato picked up her 20th win of the season at Florida State. It is her second straight year with 20 singles victories after going 23-11 last year
- Mélodie Collard and Julia Adams are 7-1 this season in conference doubles matches and 17-4 overall as a tandem. They are ranked No. 11 in the ITA doubles rankings
- Natasha Subhash and Chervinsky are 16-4 overall as a doubles team and 6-2 in conference play, ranking No. 9 in the doubles rankings
- Adams has 24 doubles victories this year. Subhash has 23 and Collard 21
NOTING THE OPPOSITION
- Georgia Tech moved up from No. 22 to No. 20 in this week’s ITA team rankings after topping UCF last Thursday (March 23). The Yellowjackets had a bye last weekend
- Virginia is currently fifth in the ACC standings. Georgia Tech is sixth
- The Yellow Jackets have two players ranked in the top 30 in singles. Carol Lee is No. 7 and Kylie Blichev is No. 26
- Virginia leads the all-time series against Georgia Tech 26-16 and has won the last two meetings by a 5-2 score
- Clemson is No. 30 in this week’s ITA team rankings. They have been ranked as high as No. 29 this season
- Clemson also played UCF last week, topping the Knights 4-3, their second win against a top 25 team this month as they also won 6-1 against No. 25 Syracuse
