CHAMPIONSHIP INFO
All matches in the NCAA Singles Tournament will be the best-of-three sets. No-ad scoring and a 7-point tiebreaker (first to seven points, must win by two points) at six-games-all will be used for all matches.

USC has won five National Singles Championships (1976 – Barbara Hallquist [USTA], 1977 – Barbara Hallquist [USTA], 1978 – Stacy Margolin [USTA], 1981 – Anna Maria Fernandez [AIAW], 1983 – Beth Herr [NCAA]) and two National Doubles Championships (1980 – Trey Lewis/Anne White [AIAW], 2013 – Kaitlyn Christian/Sabrina Santamaria [NCAA]).

BY THE NUMBERS

USC’s winningest Trojan in the singles realm this season so far is junior Eryn Cayetano, who was the first to crack the 20 and very prestigious 30-win mark. Cayetano has amassed 36 singles wins this season and received the PAC-12’s automatic qualification for the Singles Championship. She enters this week as the No. 7 overall seed with a 36-10 singles record and has collected 17 wins over ranked opponents this season, including seven in the Top 20. The junior will make her first NCAA tournament appearance after being named the second alternate last season.

The No. 50 ranked senior Ewing will make her second career appearance in the tournament, carrying with her a singles record of 19-13. This season, Ewing has played at both the No. 2 and No. 1 spot, defeating nine ranked opponents and clinching two matches for the Trojans. This year marked Salma’s third selection and second appearance in the NCAA Singles bracket (2020 Championships cancelled due to coronavirus). She’s looking to break through the First-Round barrier that she hit during the 2021 season.
