USC Women's Tennis Gears Up for Women of Troy Invite

LOS ANGELES – USC women’s tennis has a big weekend of competition in store as the Trojans will host the three-day Women of Troy tournament at Marks Stadium, beginning Friday, Oct. 7 and continuing through Sunday, Oct. 9. 
 
The Women of Troy Invitational marks the only home event for the Trojans this fall, with their next home match set for January, 2023. 
 
USC will see seven Trojans take to the court over the course of the invite – Grace Piper, Sloane Morra, Emma Charney, McKenna Koenig, Nathalie Rodilosso, Gabrielle Lee and Isabelle Lee.
 
The tournament format will have two schools face each other in two doubles matches and four singles matches. The doubles will be played first, with singles to immediately follow. 
 
All singles matches will be two sets with a match breaker in place of the third set. Doubles will be one six-game set with a tiebreaker at 6-6. There will be no-ad scoring.
 
Each dual match will consist of two doubles and four singles matches. The Trojans will host UCLA, Arizona, Gonzaga, UC Santa Barbara and Loyola Marymount. 
 
Matches will take place at both Marks Stadium and USC’s recreation tennis courts, schedule as follows:
 
Friday – October 8 
10 AM – UCLA v LMU (Marks Stadium courts 3, 5, 2, 1) 
2 PM – USC v Gonzaga (Marks Stadium)
2 PM – Arizona v UCSB (Rec. courts 7-10)
 
Saturday – October 9 
10 AM – USC v UCLA (Marks Stadium courts 6, 4, 2, 1)
10 AM – UCSB v Gonzaga (Rec. courts 7-10)
 
Sunday – October 10 
10 AM – USC v LMU (Marks Stadium courts 6, 4, 2, 1)
10 AM – Arizona v Gonzaga (Rec. courts 7, 9, 10, 11) 

10 AM – UCSB v UCLA (Marks Stadium courts 3, 5 & Rec. court 8)
