SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Clemson Tigers dropped their Friday night match to Notre Dame as the Fighting Irish took the 4-1 win. Freshman Noa Vukadin recorded a singles victory on court four.
In doubles, the Tigers were off to a strong start as the court three duo of Wissam Abderrahman and Max Damm secured a 6-1 win over the Notre Dame pairing of Lee and Zhang. The Fighting Irish was able to pick up wins on court one and two which allowed them to steal the doubles.
The Tigers continued to battle in singles as Vukadin recorded a 6-1, 6-0 win over Notre Dame’s Corsillo as the freshman only allowed his opponent to secure a single point throughout both sets.
With victories on court one, three and five, Notre Dame was able to secure three singles wins to increase their lead by four and steal the 4-1 victory.
