Ozolins Earns Singles All-American Status, Illini end run in NCAA Tournament

STILLWATER, Okla. – Fighting Illini men’s tennis ended its run in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Tournaments Wednesday afternoon on the campus of Oklahoma State. 

The doubles pair of Hunter Heck and Karlis Ozolins lost to Arkansas’ Bozo Baruns and Jared Horwood, 7-5, 6-3. 

Earlier in the day, Ozolins lost, 6-1, 6-0, to Arizona State’s Murphy Cassone. Ozolins already earned All-American status after his 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 win over Florida State’s Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc on Tuesday.
