LOS ANGELES – The No. 21 ranked USC Women’s Tennis team recorded a pair of wins to open the 2024 season, defeating LMU (7-0) and UC Irvine (4-0) on Thursday, January 18 at Marks Tennis Stadium.
USC freshman phenom Immi Haddad won big during her Marks Stadium debut, clinching both matches for the Trojans as she played at both No. 3 and No. 6 singles.
USC’s No. 29 ranked Grace Piper and Parker Fry won twice as a pair, helping USC haul in the doubles point against both LMU and UC Irvine. Trojan fifth-year Eryn Cayetano partnered with freshman Lily Fairclough and sophomore Emma Charney on Saturday, recording wins with both partners.
The Women of Troy swept the Lions in singles as No. 83 Eryn Cayetano, #22 Emma Charney, #66 Piper, Lily Fairclough and Haddad all recorded wins.
Against the Anteaters, USC hauled in the doubles point and subsequently recorded three-straight singles wins to secure their second team victory of the day.
The Trojans are back in action this Sunday, January 21 at Marks Stadium as they host No. 7 Texas for an 11 a.m. dual (barring no rain).
