Not only do the Wildcats lead in both series against their upcoming opponents, but they have never dropped a single match against them.

Blue Gray Recap – The Wildcats finished runner-up at the Blue Gray Classic on Feb. 25 after defeating Nebraska 4-1 in round one, then beating Oklahoma also 4-1 in semifinals before falling 2-4 to Auburn in the championship match. Arizona landed the No. 1 seed at the tournament for the first time ever and their appearance in the championship match marked their second time there since 2018 when they won the title. 

ITA Ranks – In the latest ITA ranks, Arizona came in at #17 (prev. #14) and four Wildcats remain in the top 125 singles: #45 Jonas Ziverts, #88 Colton Smith, #110 Nick Lagaev and #117 Herman Hoeyeraal. NAU remains unranked in both team and singles/doubles rankings. #66 (prev. 59) Gonzaga has one ranked doubles hair, #57 Matthew Hollingworth and Sasha Trkulja. 

Up Next – Next up for Men’s Tennis are two weeks on the road, beginning with two matches in Oklahoma. On Monday, March 6, the Wildcats will face the #38 Sooners for the second time this season then they play #56 Tulsa on Wednesday, March 8. The ‘Cats head to California to open Pac-12 play on Friday, March 17 vs. #24 Stanford followed by a match vs. #35 Cal on Sunday, March 19.
