RALEIGH The NC State men’s tennis team returns to Raleigh for its ACC opener.
The Wolfpack (8-4) welcomes the Miami Hurricanes to campus for a 5:30 pm showdown on Friday.
Miami leads the all-time series 16-9, but NC State has won four of the last five showdowns and seven of the last nine. The Pack is on a hot streaking, having won four in a row heading into Friday’s home match.

Last time out: NC State improved to 2-0 in the ACC with road wins over Clemson and Georgia Tech.
Pack in the Rankings: Four members of the NC State tennis team are ranked in the latest ITA poll. Rafa Izquierdo Luque is ranked No. 77 in the singles poll. Luque is also ranked in the doubles at No. 29 with partner Joe Wayand. Robin Catry and Luca Staeheli are ranked No. 55.
Scouting the Hurricanes: Miami (6-4) is coming off back-to-back losses at Virginia and Virginia Tech. The Canes are ranked 60th in the nation. In the singles’ poll Dan Martin is ranked No. 44. Martin Katz is ranked No. 76.
