Men's Tennis Ready For ITA Regionals Starting Friday


Members of the University of North Carolina men’s tennis team will try to qualify for November’s ITA National Fall Championships beginning on Friday October 21 in Cary, N.C., at the ITA Carolina Region Championship.

Tar Heels scheduled to participate in the action include Logan Zapp, Benjamin Kittay, Peter Murphy, Karl Poling and Anuj Watane in singles and Kittay & Zapp and Watane & Chris Li in doubles.

Teams scheduled to appear at the event include Campbell, College Of Charleston, Charlotte, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, Davidson, Duke, Elon, Furman, Gardner-Webb, North Carolina, North Carolina A&T, UNC Asheville, North Carolina Central, N.C. State, UNC Wilmington, Presbyterian, South Carolina, South Carolina State, The Citadel, Queens University, Wake Forest and Wofford.

Benjamin Kittay – 10 AM Friday vs. Thomas Kennedy

Peter Murphy – 10:30 AM Friday vs. Ata Ryuya

Karl Poling – 11 AM Friday vs. Juan diego Rojas

Anuj Watane – Friday noon vs. Matt Pitts

Doubles
