EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon’s doubles team of Joshua Charlton and Quinn Vandecasteele came up short 6-3, 6-2 against Andrew Fenty and Nino Ehrenschneider from the University of Michigan today.
The Ducks fell behind early after dropping the first three points in the first set, eventually dropping the set 6-3. Oregon struggled again in the second after winning the first point, falling 6-2 to give Michigan the victory.
This was the second Oregon doubles team to make the individual championships and first since Guillermo Carter and Leslie Eisinga made it in 2000. The duo’s No. 15 ranking to end the season was the highest by a Ducks doubles team in program history.
