CARY, N.C. – Washington State junior Eva Alvarez Sande fell in the first round of qualifying at the 2024 All-American Championships Monday at the Cary Tennis Club.
Alvarez Sande, who over the weekend captured three matches in prequalifying to advance to the qualifying round, dropped a 6-1, 6-4 contest against Texas’ Ashton Bowers, who is ranked No. 104 nationally. Alvarez Sande will conclude her tournament Tuesday in a consolation round match against Texas A&M’s Jeanette Mireles.
