ORLANDO, FLA.—North Carolina graduate student Ryan Seggerman’s run in the 2023 NCAA Singles Championship came to an end on Tuesday.
Seggerman, making his first NCAA singles appearance, won his first-round match on Monday.
On Tuesday morning, second-seeded Ethan Quinn of Georgia defeated Seggerman, 6-4, 6-4, in the Round of 32.
A pair of Tar Heel doubles teams were scheduled to begin play on Tuesday but, inclement weather pushed all doubles play to Wednesday. Carolina’s Seggerman and Casey Kania and Brian Cernoch and Benjamin Kittay now are slated to begin NCAA doubles play a day behind schedule.
