The Lead: After five-straight wins over ranked opponents, the No. 1 ranked Tar Heels will host No. 3 Duke in the ACC regular season finale in Chapel Hill on Friday afternoon. First serve against the Blue Devils is set for 3 p.m.


Storylines:

  • With two wins last weekend, UNC recorded its 26th victory in a row. 26 consecutive victories is the third-longest winning streak in program history.

  • North Carolina enters the weekend ranked No. 1 for the ninth consecutive week.

  • Duke ended UNC’s 46 match win streak last season at Duke.

  • UNC is 46-45 all-time against the Blue Devils.


From the Notes: Last week, Fiona Crawley won her 113th singles match as a Tar Heel. She is now only two singles victories shy of entering the top-10 for all-time singles victories at UNC.


Switching Sides:

  • Last weekend, Duke defeated No. 24 Wake Forest 4-0 and No. 7 NC State 4-3.

  • Chloe Beck was named the ACC Player of the Week last week. Beck went 2-0 in singles and 1-0 in doubles on the week, both at the No. 1 position.

  • Entering the weekend, the Blue Devils have won 11 straight matches. Duke last lost to No. 20 Virginia in Charlottesville.
