No. 25 NC State faces Louisville, North Carolina A&T in Sunday double header


RALEIGH No. 25 NC State hopes to get the momentum rolling this weekend.
 

Fresh off a 4-0 win over Notre Dame, the Pack (11-5, 5-0) will play a pair of games on Sunday. At noon, NC State will play conference foe Louisville. The Pack will step out of conference at 5 pm versus North Carolina A&T.
 
Sunday’s match versus the Cardinals will be the tiebreaker in the all-time series, currently tied at six wins each. NC State is a perfect 6-0 all-time against the Aggies. 
 
Last time out: NC State improved to 5-0 in the ACC with a 4-0 home win over Notre Dame. Fons Van Sambeek and Braden Shick and Rafa Izquierdo Luque and Joe Wayand earned the doubles point for the Pack. Shick, Staeheli and Robin Catry all picked up wins in singles.
 
Pack in the Rankings:  NC State comes in at No. 25 in the latest ITA Rankings. The doubles duo of Robin Catry and Luca Staeheli were ranked No. 27, while Joe Wayand and Rafa Izquierdo Luque were ranked No. 40. On the singles side Izquierdo Luque is ranked No. 52 and Staeheli came in at No. 73.
 
Scouting the Cardinals: Louisville (10-8, 1-6) is ranked No. 39 in the ITA Rankings. Etienne Donnet is the highest ranked singles player, coming in at No. 31. Fabien Salle is ranked No. 55, Natan Rodrigues is No. 76. Salle and Rodrigues are ranked No. 15 in doubles. 
 
Scouting the Aggies: The Aggies are undefeated (7-0) heading into Sunday’s action. A&T is coming off a 4-3 win at UNC-Asheville. Sunday will be just their third road game of the season.
