DURHAM — This past week our team traveled to Hilton Head Island for spring break to relax and recharge. We spent a lot of quality time together and enjoyed our break from school. Since the weather wasn’t warm enough to swim in the ocean, we had the chance to paint pottery, take many beach walks, and hang out in the hot tub. We also went on a dolphin tour cruise and saw some dolphins, while doing some sightseeing along the way.
One of the days, we painted pottery for an activity where we started off by picking someone’s name out of a hat to see who we were going to be painting for. It was a fun, but a bit nerve racking activity, because you wanted to give your teammate the best quality of painting that you can. We all exchanged the pottery at the end of the week, and really enjoyed each other’s effort. We aren’t as bad of artists as we thought we would be!
On another one of the days, we went on a boat tour of the island. It was really cool to be able to explore the island from a different point of view. We were lucky enough to see some dolphins and lots of sea birds. The wind subsided and sun came out, which made for a very pleasant afternoon
It was a great week for our team, and we are super excited to get back to work and get ready to go for the rest of our season!
