TUSCALOOSA, Ala.– Alabama men’s tennis player Joao Ferreira opened competition for the Crimson Tide at the ITA Southern Regional Championships on Thursday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
Qualifying Rounds Results
- Ferreira kicked off the tournament for the Tide, recording a win in the qualifying round of 64
- He advanced to Friday’s qualifying round of 32 after winning in straight sets against New Orleans’ Lillian Dubois
- The UA junior went 6-4, 6-4 to move onto the next round of play starting at 11 a.m. CT on Friday
