Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina women’s tennis head coach Kevin Epley announced the team’s Spring 2024 schedule on Tuesday.  The Gamecocks’ slate features 22 regular season dual matches and begins with the hosting of the annual Carolina Kickoff.

“We are all pretty excited for the 2024 spring campaign,” said Epley. “We have some new faces, experience, and maturity on this team and we believe we can be a force to be reckoned with. The team worked hard during the fall semester and I’m confident that they will work hard over the holidays. It will be important to get off to a strong start to build some momentum going into the second season.”

The Gamecocks will begin their season with the Carolina Kickoff where they will welcome Wake Forest, Wisconsin and Auburn from Jan. 13-15 for a weekend of round robin play. Following the tournament, the Gamecocks will host both Coastal Carolina and Presbyterian College in dual action on Jan. 21 before heading to Athens, Ga., for their first road test.

In Athens, South Carolina will compete in the ITA Kickoff Weekend with a shot at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships on the line. They will first face Arizona on Jan. 26 and will take on either USF or host Georgia on Jan. 27. The winner of the weekend will advance to the national championships.

Following Kickoff Weekend, the team will have a stretch of ACC opponents on their non-conference schedule, hosting Georgia Tech on Feb. 2 and rival Clemson on Feb. 14 before traveling to Winston-Salem, N.C., to face Wake Forest. They will return home to conclude the non-conference schedule by hosting Charlotte and Charleston Southern on Feb. 25.

The Gamecocks will begin SEC play on the road with a trip to Texas A&M on March 1 and a stop at LSU on March 3. They will then return home for a two-week stretch in which they’ll host Tennessee (March 8), Georgia (March 10), Alabama (March 15), and Auburn (March 17).

South Carolina will then get back on the road, traveling to Missouri on March 22 and Arkansas on March 24 before returning for their final weekend of home play that will take place March 29 and 31 where they’ll host Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

The regular season will conclude on the road for South Carolina with the team making stops at Kentucky (April 5), Vanderbilt (April 7), and Florida (April 13).

The postseason will begin with the SEC Tournament that will run April 14-21 in Athens, Ga.
