Weekend Recap – Arizona put on an outstanding performance this past weekend going three for three in their matches against Fresno State, Florida Atlantic and NAU. The Wildcats won every doubles point and a total of nine singles matches. Sophomore Midori Castillo-Meza was named Pac-12 Player of the Week for the first time in her career after being the only Wildcat to win all of her matches.
History w/ Hawai’i – The Wildcats have only played two matches against Hawai’i, both in Honolulu, winning one and losing the other. They defeated Hawai’i 6-1 in 2009 and lost 4-3 in 2016. The upcoming matches against Hawai’i provide two opportunities to take the lead in the series.
Up Next – Women’s Tennis is on the road for two more weeks after their trip to the Aloha state. They will head to Lawrence, Kan. for matches against Kansas, Texas Tech and UC Santa Barbara on Friday, Feb. 17 and Saturday, Feb. 18. Then Arizona competes at the Blue Gray Classic in Montgomery, Ala. February 24-25.
