PRINCETON, N.J. — The Wisconsin men’s tennis team (1-11, 0-0 Big Ten) were defeated by No. 21 Princeton on Sunday afternoon, 6-1, wrapping up a weekend of action on the East Coast.

Wisconsin was forced to forfeit the No. 3 doubles match due to injury, leaving Michael Minasyan/Matthew Fullerton at No. 1 match and Collin Beduhn/Gabriel Huber at the No. 2 match. Beduhn and Huber fell 2-6 to Top Nidunjianzan and Alan Kam before Fullerton and Minasyan were edged out at No. 1, 7-6 (7-4).

In singles action, Wisconsin had to forfeit at No. 5 and No. 6. Huber and Beduhn both fell in straight sets, giving Princeton the victory up 4-0. Princeton claimed wins in straight sets at No. 1, 2 and 4 before Wisconsin’s Matthew Fullerton rallied to claim a come-from-behind 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-5) victory. Fullerton finished the East Coast trip with a perfect 2-0 record after a victory at Yale on Friday night.

Up Next: Wisconsin travels to Dallas to take on SMU on Saturday, March 16 before opening Big Ten action on March 22 against Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich.
