NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The No. 18 Vanderbilt women’s tennis team will have its Southeastern Conference debut against Ole Miss on Friday, followed by a Sunday matchup with Mississippi State.
Vanderbilt is 6-3 heading into SEC play, with all three losses coming to top 26 opponents. Most recently, the Dores swept Middle Tennessee, where each singles match was decided in two sets.
Ole Miss is entering conference play with a 6-2 record and a three-match win streak. The Rebels are undefeated at home, and both their losses were only by one point. As the No. 6 team in the SEC, the Rebels are coming off of a successful doubleheader weekend against Tennessee State.
Mississippi State sits at No. 1 in the SEC with a 10-1 record. The Bulldogs had three matches canceled last weekend due to weather in California, and they will face Kentucky on Friday before playing the Commodores. No. 66 Maria Rizzolo is Mississippi State’s top ranked player, with a two-match win streak in singles.
Friday’s match at Ole Miss will begin at 3 p.m. CT, and Sunday’s match at Mississippi State will begin at 1 p.m. CT. Live stats and livestream information will be on the
