Tigers Conclude Their ITA Regional Championships Run – Clemson Tigers Official Athletics Site

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Clemson Tigers conclude their ITA Regional Championships run at UNC-Chapel Hill on Saturday, October 21. 

In the round of 16 open bracket, Alina Tsyurpalevych fell to Misa Malkin from the University of South Carolina by a score of 7-5, 6-2, 6-2. Eleni Louka faced Emma Jackson of Duke University and was defeated 6-4, 1-6, 1-6. Also in the round of 16, Jenna Thompson was defeated by Theadora Rabman of UNC Chapel Hill by a score of 3-6, 4-6, while Christina Mayorova defeated Shahar Brian of The University of South Carolina by a score of 2-6, 6-1, 6-4. Later in the day, in the quarterfinal singles bracket, Mayorova was defeated by Anika Yarlagadda of UNC Chapel Hill by a score of 6-3, 6-3. 

In the round of 16 qualifying bracket, Sophia Hatton was defeated by Maggie Pate of Appalachian State University by a score of 4-6, 6-4, 6-10. 

The Tigers run for the title has concluded, but the team will stay and continue to play extra matches.
