GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Another successful day of ITA Regionals for the Gators has come to a close, with Florida finding victories in both the singles and doubles draw.
Today’s main draw consisted of two rounds of doubles and one round of singles. Florida started the morning with challenging doubles matchups, but the freshman duo persisted once more with an 8-5 victory over Stetson’s Cheri Darley/Alanna Di Francesco, earning them a ticket to the quarterfinals. Lopez and Rowinska fought hard in their second doubles match of the day against Florida State’s Maelie Monfils/Ellie Schoppe. Rowinska and Lopez will face off against Miami’s Xinyi Nong/Isabella Pfenning in the Regional semifinals.
On the singles side of the main draw, Florida won three of their courts to advance Gailis, Briggs, and De Oliveira into the quarterfinals.
