CARY, N.C. — Amira Badawi, Tara Chilton, and Jackeline Lopez of the Rutgers women’s tennis team competed at the ITA Women’s All-American Championships in Cary, North Carolina on Saturday. The Scarlet Knights competed in pre-qualifying for singles and doubles.
The duo of Badawi and Chilton competed in the doubles bracket, while Lopez took part in the singles competition.
Doubles
Badawi and Chilton took the court together for the first time this fall, facing off against Emily Meyer and Leonie Moeller of Memphis in pre-qualifying. The pair of Scarlet Knights battled, but fell to the Tigers, 8-5.
Singles
Lopez claimed the first set, but ultimately fell to Gabriella Broadfoot of NC State in her opening match, 1-6, 6-4, 6-1.
