This week, Sydni Ratliff of the Ohio State women’s tennis team is in action at the ITA Fall Nationals at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.
One round will be held each day, with the tournament concluding Sunday with the championship match.

Ratliff posted a three-set win in the opening round. She will take on No. 3 seed Abigail Forbes of North Carolina at noon Thursday.
Round of 32 (Wednesday, Nov. 2)
Ratliff, ranked 51st to start the year, rallied for a three-set victory over Sarah Hamner of South Carolina, who was ranked second to begin this fall, in the opening round.
Hamner took the first set, 6-0. Ratliff took over from there. The Buckeye freshman broke to go ahead 2-1 and pushed her lead to 4-1. Hamner won the next two games, but Ratliff held for 5-3 and then broke on the no-ad point to win the set, 6-3.
With the third set on-serve at three-all, Ratliff went on a run. She held for 4-3, broke for 5-3 and then served it out for a 6-3 set win to advance.
