Purdue Welcomes Labrador from Clemson


WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The first addition of the Geoff Young era has arrived as the Boilermakers’ new head coach announced that Daniel Labrador will transfer to West Lafayette.

The Tampa Bay, Fla., native will have three years of eligibility remaining after spending two campaigns at Clemson.

Labrador is a two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete with a career singles record of 5-9 and doubles mark of 6-6. He helped the Tigers to 23 dual match victories over the last two seasons.

Prior to his time at Clemson, Labrador was tabbed a five-star recruit by Tennis Recruiting Network, reaching as high as No. 37 in the nation. His winning tallies included a top-10 recruit from the class of 2020, a pair of ATP ranked player in ITF Futures Qualifying and a semifinalist appearance in the Boys 16s Clay Court National Championship.
