KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Following the conclusion of a highly successful 2023 season, which saw the Lady Vols secure their best end-of-season ranking since 2010, head coach Alison Ojeda announced the Lady Vols’ 2023 fall schedule Friday.
Tennessee will open fall match play by hosting the UTR Pro Tennis Tour on August 27- September 3 in Knoxville, Tennessee. The squad will then hit the road to play in the Debbie Southern Furman Fall Classic on September 15-17 in Greenville, South Carolina.
The Big Orange then travels to compete in the ITF W15 in Lubbock, Texas on September 19-24. Following that, the Lady Vols will head to Cary, North Carolina for the College Ranked Spotlight tournament hosted by NC State on September 22-25.
Tennessee heads into their fall slate with a senior heavy roster, plus the additions of senior transfer Sofia Cabezas and graduate student transfer Alana Wolfberg.
The squad will wrap up away play at the ITA All-American Championships in Florence, South Carolina on October 9-15 before heading home for the next two weeks. While in Knoxville, the group will host back-to-back tournaments. First, on October 18-23 they will host the ITA Ohio Valley Region tournament, followed by the UT Home Invitational on Oct. 27-29.
After a two-week home stand, the team will travel to Atlanta, Georgia to compete in the ITF W25 on October 30-Nov. 5. Finally the Lady Vols’ will close out the fall stent at the ITA Fall Nationals in San Diego, California. The tournament will run from November 1-5.
