No. 22 Men's Tennis Finishes Second in the Ed Collins Classic


SAN DIEGO– In the Ed Collins Classic title match, No. 22 Arizona State men’s tennis (12-6) fell 4-2 in the season rematch against No. 14 University of San Diego (13-2) on Sunday, earning second place in the Invite. 

The Sun Devils won the doubles point, earning the early 1-0 edge, but four singles wins from San Diego overpowered ASU. 

Freshman Bor Artnak was the lone singles win for ASU on Sunday.

  2. #74 Bor Artnak (ASU) def. Lambert Ruland (USD) 6-4, 6-2
  3. #85 Iiro Vasa (USD) def. Max McKennon (ASU) 6-4, 6-2
  4.  Jacob Bullard (ASU) vs. Sacchitt Sharrma (USD) 5-7, 6-6 unfinished
  5. Saviryan Danilov (USD) def. Roi Ginat (ASU) 7-5, 6-4
  6. Stian Klaassen (USD) def. Nicola Cigna (ASU) 6-1, 6-0

Order of finish: 6,2,3,1,5

Doubles competition:
