ORLANDO, Fla. – After hours of weather delay and a location shift indoors, No. 24 Celia-Belle Mohr defeated No. 16 Janice Tjen in three sets.
The first set went back and forth between Mohr and Tjen, resulting in a 7-5 win for Tjen. Mohr came back in the second set to win 6-3 and force a third set.
After being down 4-2 in the third, Mohr fought back to tie it at 5-5. She won the sixth game, but Tjen was able to push to the seven-point tiebreak. Mohr immediately went down by three but ultimately clinched the match to advance to tomorrow’s competition.
Mohr will take on an SEC foe in Auburn’s No. 32 Ariana Arseneault tomorrow.
