RALEIGH Five members of the NC State tennis team made it to the main draw of the 15k Pro Futures event in Ithaca, New York.
Fons Van Sambeek, Luca Staeheli, Damien Salvestre, Braden Shick and Robin Catry were all victorious on Tuesday.
The group advancing through the qualifying draw set them up individually in the main draw, which begins on Wednesday.

Members of the NC State tennis team also participated in doubles play on Tuesday.
Staeheli and Jesse Flores lost 6-4, 6-2 to Menelaos Efstathious and Jakob Schnaitter. Van Sambeek and Catry paired up to knock off Shick and Jack Anthrop 7-5, 2-6, 10-8, advancing to the quarterfinals.
