CORAL GABLES, Fla. –University of Miami men’s tennis player Dan Martin will compete in the 2023 NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Singles Tennis Championship, as announced Tuesday evening.
Martin, the No. 26 player in the ITA singles rankings, will make his first appearance in the NCAA Singles Championship after serving as an alternate at the event last season.
The Laval, Quebec, native posted a 21-13 record in singles action, including a 12-9 mark at first singles this spring. Martin recorded five victories over top-40 opponents, including a 6-4, 6-4 defeat of the nation’s then-top-ranked player, Ethan Quinn, in January.
Martin earned the second All-ACC First Team accolade of his career on Monday, becoming the first two-time ACC first-team honoree in program history.
The NCAA Singles Championship begin on May 22 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
