Hudd Named to SEC Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Tennessee men’s tennis graduate student Emile Hudd has been named to the 2023 SEC Community Service team, as announced by the conference Thursday.

In his second year on Rocky Top, Hudd has made positive impacts both on the court for the Vols and in the Knoxville community.

Hudd volunteers his time by cooking and serving meals at the Salvation Army. In 2022, the organization served over 171 million meals to those in need. Hudd’s selflessness has provided relief for families on the verge of food insecurity, by way of hot meals and encouraging human interaction to those who may not receive it otherwise.

On the court, since arriving at Tennessee in the fall of 2021, Hudd has logged a 47-18 overall singles record. In doubles action, Hudd is 54-18 in just under two full seasons with the Vols. The two-time reigning SEC Player of the Week is a combined 27-6 at the No. 2 doubles and singles lineup positions this spring.

Hudd and the eighth-ranked Vols face Arkansas on the road Sunday at 2 p.m. ET in its regular-season finale.
