Haley Giavara Earns Second All-America Honor



BERKELEY – California women’s tennis star Haley Giavara earned the second singles All-America honor of her career, the ITA announced Monday. The rising senior technically claimed the accolade when she reached the round of 16 of the NCAA Singles Championship in late May.
 
The San Diego product was first named a singles All-American after her freshman season.
 
Giavara finished the 2021-22 season with a run to the third round of NCAA singles, a No. 36 national ranking and an 18-15 record after she led the Golden Bears to the third round of the NCAA team tournament. In doubles, Giavara partnered with Valentina Ivanov to collect a final ITA doubles ranking of No. 40. Giavara also garnered a spot on the All-Pac-12 second team and was named a Pac-12 Player of the Week in April.
