URBANA, Ill. – Kate Duong and Megan Heuser won the first professional title of their careers on Friday, claiming the doubles title from the Fighting Illini Women’s Open USTA/ITF 15k. The championship marks the second of the fall for the Illinois women’s tennis doubles duo.
All six healthy student-athletes competed in the professional event hosted by Atkins Tennis Center across the singles qualifying and main draws and doubles main draw. The Illini combined for 14 wins across the event that spanned Nov. 6-11 for Illinois athletes.
