NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt men’s tennis will host Rice for the second leg of their three-week home-game stretch. For the second time in three years, Vanderbilt and Rice will face each other on Super Bowl Sunday. Opening serve is set for noon.
Surveying the Series
The Commodores are 2-3 all time against the Owls dating back to 1989. Vanderbilt came out victorious in the teams’ two most recent matchups, topping Rice 5-2 in 2021 and 6-1 in 2019.
Scouting the Owls
Rice comes to Music City 3-4 on the season. Their most recent matchup was against another SEC opponent; the LSU Tigers topped the Owls last Saturday 4-2.

Home Match Notes
Sunday’s matches will be at Currey Tennis Pavilion at the Lummis Family Tennis Center, and admission is free. Parking will be available in the 25th Avenue Garage. New to this season, Vanderbilt tennis matches will enforce a clear bag policy.
On Deck: The Commodores host three dual matches next weekend, welcoming Florida Atlantic at noon on Feb. 18 and Oklahoma State (11 a.m.) and Belmont (3:30 p.m.) on Feb 19.
