Dawgs Improve to 3-0 With Two Wins In Honolulu

HONOLULU – The Huskies (3-0) made their long travel trip to Honolulu worth it, picking up two wins this weekend over Memphis and Hawaii.

Washington battled Friday night against Memphis, narrowly winning the match 4-3 thanks to Melissa Sakar clinching the singles point to give her team the edge (6-3, 2-6, 6-2).

The wins came quicker for the Dawgs on Saturday, when the Dawgs defeated Hawaii 4-0 and left a handful of matches unfinished.

Washington will head back to Seattle for a month-long home stretch, starting with Gonzaga on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 1 p.m. in Nordstrom Tennis Center.
